Lisa Earley
I started my working-life as a knitwear designer, and feel the exacting minutiae of stitch has stayed as a signifier for my practice to this day. Mark making and drawing is at the heart of my practice, often made to interpret and in response to research findings. I have a keen interest in analogue and digital print making, combining both in many pieces I make with multiple surface layers of freehand machine embroidery. I combine my practice with working part time at Solent University and Winchester School of Art, teaching digital skills to Fashion and Textile students.
