Vanitas - modern musings…

This is an ongoing project that considers the modern dilemma of consumerism and resources - whether its commentary on fast fashion or the way we choose to live and use the resources available to us all. Reflection on the natural world is a key part of these works - either as observational botanical drawings or as in the case of the Ruskin nominated piece ‘Vanitas’ and the ‘Bad Fairies’ that carried a deadly Zika virus to Brazilian families - little did we realise that a much deadlier pandemic was lurking around the corner.
